Under the Sea Birthday Parties for Little Mermaids
The sea is a fascinating place – its beauty knows no bounds! And thanks to films like The Little Mermaid, Finding Dory, and my personal favorite, Ponyo, kids find life underwater truly alluring. If you have a little ocean-lover, an Under the Sea bash is the perfect party theme!
We’ve reeled in some of the best Under the Sea-themed parties from Pinterest. Take a look, and see for yourself!
Birthday girl Gabriella celebrated her first birthday with a stylish Under the Sea birthday party planned by her mom. We’re loving the blue, green and purple color scheme, which gives off some serious mermaid vibes!
The decor was inspired by underwater elements like starfish, shells, and corals. I could totally see these letters hanging in Gaby’s nursery, post-party!
Here’s a jewelry stand holding starfish clips and sparkly bracelets – decorative and perfect for guests to get their bling on!
WOAH! I’ve never seen a jellyfish paper lantern before, but now that I have, I don’t think I can go on living without one… (Googling the craft, ASAP.)
Here’s an adorable and easy DIY centerpiece: fill a vase with fresh flowers and top it off with a cutout fish… You’re practically snorkeling in the Galapagos.
I can’t even focus on the incredible spread because THAT BACKDROP IS WHAT MERMAID DREAMS ARE MADE OF. The best part? It looks easy enough to recreate.
Sea horse lollies and seashell sweets… On what looks to me like a plate of brown sugar.
Someone hand me my insulin.
Here are more treats in a gorgeous blue bottle (nab one at a dollar/thrift store) accented with some rope and shells.
Straws with glittery sea creatures because WHY NOT.
Don’t forget the goodie bags! Slap some theme-appropriate stickers on them and call it a day.
Just kidding, you still have to write (themed) thank you cards.
Birthday girl Kaylen’s first birthday party was a gorgeous ocean-inspired bash, with a stunning two-tone color scheme of aqua and purple. Welcoming us is a perfectly frosted tortoise cookie.
I didn’t even have a cake when I turned one because my parents were health nuts… and here comes Kaylen with a 3-tiered fondant masterpiece, each layer exhibiting unique, mind-blowing technique in cake-decorating.
Give yourself some serious mermaid hair (without a trip to the salon– or worse, an at-home stint with Manic Panic) with hair chalks!
For party favors, baby food jars were upcycled and filled with sugar sand and white chocolate shells. If you close your eyes, you’ll taste the hint of chicken orzo zucchini dinner. ;)
This seaside-inspired first birthday celebration for sweet Olive is one heck of a shindig! Fabulous and sparkly details abound in this bash.
What a glorious little cake, sitting on an equally beautiful cake stand. (If this is a smash cake, I’m going to have serious palpitations.)
Colorful paper boats were strung over the dessert table. Fun!
Guests left with water-colored muslin bags filled with Asian sweets, in honor of Olive’s Korean heritage.
Hope you were inspired by these ocean-inspired bashes. Will you throw your kiddo an Under the Sea-themed birthday party? Share your ideas with us – sea ya later!Tags : birthdays baby shower best of pinterest
